Praia do Amado

Waves of the Atlantic Ocean crashing on the rocks on the beach Praia do Amado on the Costa Vicentina just south of the village of Carrapateira in the Algarve region of southern Portugal. A very long exposure time "softens" the motion of the waves. This photo was taken in the evening of a cloudy day in March of 2011. This photo is part of the Algarve (Portugal) gallery.
